Ein Stück für Puppen, einen Stuhl, einen Spieler und ein Akkordeon!
Pulcinella, die traditionelle italienische Kasperfigur, kennt weder Angst noch Autorität. Matija Solce erschafft sie aus dem Nichts, erweckt sie zum Leben und lässt sie in einer rasanten Szenenfolge auf die unterschiedlichsten Figuren des klassischen Kaspertheaters treffen. Der Tod, der Hund – all diese „Mitspieler“ Pulcinellas erscheinen mit minimalistischen Mitteln: allein durch Solces Hände, wenige Requisiten und seine meisterhafte Virtuosität, live begleitet von ihm selbst auf dem Akkordeon.
Im Gegensatz zur Kasper-Tradition endet die Geschichte ohne einen Sieger – komisch, widersprüchlich und ganz im Geiste eines Pulcinella, der sich nicht festlegen lässt.
A play for puppets, a chair, a performer, and an accordion!
Pulcinella, the traditional Italian trickster figure, fears neither authority nor death. Matija Solce conjures him from nothing, brings him to life, and sends him hurtling through a rapid sequence of encounters with various characters from the classic puppet-theatre canon. Death, the dog – all of Pulcinella’s “co-stars” appear through the most minimal means: Solce’s bare hands, a handful of props, and his masterful virtuosity, accompanied live by his own playing on the accordion.
Unlike the traditional Punch-style ending, this story concludes with no clear winner – comic, contradictory, and entirely in the spirit of a Pulcinella who resists definition
